Customer must have the original receipt to receive a refund.
Refunds can only be given in the method originally used for purchase.
If the original payment method is not available, the full amount of refund may be given in store credit at the discretion of the Store Manager.
A valid photo ID must be present for all credit card refunds.
Please note that in-store purchases must be returned in-store. Any in-store purchases returned by mail can only be refunded with store credit. Please email us at email@example.com prior to shipping.
Items in original, unopened packaging, and with tags still attached, may be refunded or exchanged within 30 days of the original purchase date--excluding Graduation Regalia items and textbook/course material(s).
This includes: Cap, Gown, Tassel, Tam, Hood, Stole, Cords, Announcements, and all other items relating to Graduation. These items can be returned for a full refund as long as still in original, unopened packaging and unused condition before the first Commencement Ceremony. If any of these items are purchased in a graduation package, the entirety of the package must be returned to receive a refund. After the start of the first Commencement Ceremony, Graduation Regalia items will be ineligible for refunds or exchanges.
This includes, but is not limited to: textbooks, iclickers, access codes, and course readers.
These items, in resalable condition, may be refunded with receipt only until January 29th, 2019
If a student has dropped a course, you have until February 20th, 2019.
Items purchased after these dates are final.
Online students must have their returns postmarked by the final day of the return date. Shipping fees are to be covered by the student. Cal Student Store is not responsible for any items lost or damaged in transit.
Open or used computer software and access codes are non-returnable. Used books, and new books in original packaging, can be returned for full purchase price before the return deadline.Any new books returned out of their original packaging or no longer in 'new' condition will be refunded at a used book value (subject to manager approval). Any 'new' condition textbook rental returned with a rental sticker will be charged a 30% restocking fee.
Any returns falling outside of the above-stated returns policy are ineligible for refunds, but may be sold back under the book buyback policy.
We are happy to accept returns for any items purchased online through the Cal Student Store, only with prior return authorization and is within 30 days of purchased.

Online orders purchased for in-store pickup are ineligible for refund if not claimed by the return deadline.
In order to receive a full refund, purchases must be postmarked by the return deadline. *Gift card purchases are final purchase, all sales final and non-refundable. Please note that the original cost of shipping will not be refunded unless prior authorization has been given.
The item must follow all requirements of in-store returns (see Refund Policy above). Return package must include original receipt of purchase, all tags, and original packaging, and all items must be in original, resalable condition.
Return shipping is at the cost of the customer, unless it is due to the error of the Cal Student Store and proper authorization has been obtained. Return shipping refund can not exceed our Standard Shipping rate of $9.99. Receipt of return shipping cost must be included to receive a refund.
